Thankyou A big thankyou to all who have supported our recent fundraising events and to all who have helped organise them. A special thankyou also from Dianne and Ian for the new carpet in the Parsonage. It has improved the appearance and comfort enormously as well as removing the risk of injury from the worn carpet on the stairs. Visitors have already commented on how nice the new carpet looks.

Sung Evensong At the AGM in December it was asked whether it might be possible to occasionally have a Sung Evensong. This is a good idea but to be done properly will need a reasonable sized congregation (at least a dozen). Please have a word with Ian if you would like to see such a service take place AND ARE PREPARED TO COMMIT TO BEING THERE.

Taize service The next service using words and music from the Taize Community will take place on Friday 16 April at 7.30pm in 'The Loft' - above the Redress clothes shop on Hill Street Dingwall.

Looking at St. Anne's At the AGM discussion took place about the heating and decoration at St. Anne's. As part of this discussion it has been suggested that we take time to consider the future of St. Anne's so that we do not spend money on the heating and decoration only to then want to make changes. A small group has been set up to enable the congregation to have this discussion and as a first step invite anyone with ideas to put them down on paper and hand them to Ian.

Registers We offer condolences to the family of Honor Roberts after her recent funeral.

Diocesan events There are a variety of Diocesan events coming up. On Saturday 27 March there will be a day of reflection on Lent and preparation for Holy Week, based upon the Lent course at Arpafeelie - more details to follow. On Monday 29 March at 11.30am the Chrism Mass will take place in the Cathedral. This is the service at which clergy renew their ordination vows and it is always good to see members of congregations there in support. On Saturday May 15 there will be a formal opening of the new diocesan centre at Arpafeelie. The small oratory/chapel will be dedicated in the name of St. Duthac of Tain. The service will begin at 11.30am and the day will include worship, refreshment and fellowship as well as the opportunity to visit the offices and Bishop's House.

Mothering Sunday Preparations are underway to celebrate Mothering Sunday at our 11am New Venture Service on March 14. There will be the usual distribution of Mothering Sunday gifts as part of the service. The service will also link with a Fairtrade 'Big Brew' celebration over refreshments after the service.
